Preview | The Studley Wood Championship

The Tour returns after a week off with The Studley Wood Championship at Studley Wood Golf Club, Oxfordshire with the 12th tournament of the season as places at this season’s Tour Championship at Slaley Hall get tightened up.

The Field

Studley Wood is familiar ground for many players who came through Q School but also from previous seasons where the course has served up some of the finest moments including Scott Fallon who broke the record for the lowest winning score in PGA EuroPro Tour history with a staggering final score of 22 under in 2018. In 2019, Will Enefer forced a playoff after a final round of 63 (-10) before losing out to Billy Hemstock.

The week will begin with a Pro-Am on Bank Holiday Monday with the club celebrating its 25th anniversary. Tuesday is Pre Qualifier day and the full list of entrants can be found here. The top five from the pre-qualifier will form a part of the field for this week’s tournament. The first day of action is Wednesday with the conclusion on Friday afternoon after the cut is made to the leading 50 plus ties on Thursday.

Ones to Watch

The top two on the Order of Merit after Luton Hoo earned a start on the Challenge Tour at the Belfry so both Mitch Waite and John Parry will be missing from the field. Therefore opening an opportunity for others to play catch up.

Sam Broadhurst – Broadhurst clinches Q School 2021 victory last October at Studley Wood after a final round of 64.
